In class, we were asked to write down 3 sentences following some directions posted on the board, and later we were given back the sentences at random and were arranged in groups, and together with our sentences form a short poem/ comic illustration. My teammates were Noah and Maria Latorre, our sentences were: The great parents has the best relationship with his son. (actual sentence we got) I believe in parrot I voted for Trump. As per we were told, we came up with three different stories. Our final story was about, a father and a son that are reading a book about parrots and are happy, and enjoying their time together. Then the kid tells the dad that he believes in parrots. And on the last illustration, we see a parrot holding a sign that says that he voted form Trump, and shows that parrots aren't good.

For my in-depth piece on the landscape topic, I wanted to go back to the first exercise of the unit and have a different take on it. Instead of just sitting down for an hour, I decided I was gonna walk around different places and write down the turns I made, and if I crossed the street, etc, and record them on a little notebook. This idea would allow to abstractly represent the city I live in. While in the process I realized that my drawings not just looked like a city, in the sense that rectangles could be buildings and what not, but it also looked like a city seen from above. I chose lines and squares because showed order, structure, simplicity, etc. The first sketch I took my notes and my imagination and came up with that overlapping layout of squares and lines. My first idea was to depict that across all 6 panels and connect them. Then I thought because plexi is clear I could do something with that, but after making 2 little mockups didn't turn out the way I imag...

rapid fire materials: marble (tile), plant, fabric (velvet), glass jar, plastic, foam, metal, dirt and bones. rapid fire formal analysis: The broken marble tile with the plants growing out of it, shows decay and also new life growing out of it, the velvet fabric, shows wealth because velvet was a fancy fabric which not everyone could obtain, also velvet cushions also give the idea of maybe gatherings or social events, the glass bell with a column inside shows that they are protecting something, trying to preserve it. The bones and dirt show decay and death. contextual reference: In its centuries of decadence, emptied by plagues, the lack of maintenance men, the city slowly became populated again as the survivors emerged. The days of poverty were followed by more joyous times. The shards of the original splendor had been saved. They were now preserved under glass bells, locked in display cases. Each new Clarice, compact as a...

For this project we were asked to go to a garden or a street, sit for an hour and record our experience by sketching and writing. My location was off the metro mover 8th St. station, Brickell, its a block away Brickell ave. There theres a mini park, lets call it where there are some benches and people can sit down and also theres a path where you can walk, and also walk your dog. I went to this location a little bit after lunch, I got to see a lot of people rush back to their jobs, but because I was there for an hour I also got to experience a really quiet and peaceful side that I don't usually see. I sat down on a bench and I tried to take as much in as I could, and my first impression was how small I felt surrounded by all this tall buildings, everywhere I looked it was building after building, and if I looked up I had the sky. At times I felt overwhelmed by so much around me, and also sometimes I just felt just very relaxed and at piece. I also noticed a lot of geometric s...
